Handstand
Handstand
Hand Stand is a resin-cast sculpture of a hand, a testament to my journey in learning the art of sculpting. Until early 2024, I had no formal training, relying on self-teaching to develop my skills. However, eager to push my craft further, I enrolled in a sculpting and mold-making course at the Berlin Sculpture Atelier.
This piece began as a simple clay model of a hand, which I then transformed into a mold and cast in resin, before finally painting it. The process of moving from sculpting to capturing the final form through casting was a significant learning curve for me. Each step—from shaping the clay to the delicate work of casting—was a hands-on education in refining my ability to materialize the subtleties of form and texture.
